This stage was based on a essay to be written in 2.5
hrs on 1 out of 4 quotations provided. Each essay was assessed by 3
evaluators. We found 6 candidates to be very close to each other after this
evaluation and so conducted group discussions in small groups. They were
given an issue/question to think about and then present their views upon. In
the 1.5 hr sessions, they were judged on the basis of their ability to grasp
the position of the other speakers and comment accordingly, their ability to
express clearly and their deep understanding of the issue and its various
aspects. The top two are invited to join the Indian team for the
27th IPO at Rome, Italy in May 2019. In case either one refuses to join,
we move down the list.
Stage 2 was based on analyzing arguments and the isms
contained in them and it was conducted over a
span of 2.5 days.
Stage 1 was based on concepts
of Logic and Language spread over two tasks, each conducted over a
span of 1.5 days.
